Tweed Kilt
(feileadh mòr)
My kilts are made in the most traditional way - the method has been passed down through generations of kiltmakers and is the only way to make traditional Scottish kilts.

A traditional kilt should be sewn by hand from start to finish, and should have only one person making it.
This is how mine are made; this is how I was taught. I will only be using the most experienced of kiltmakers of whom I know personally and who have been in the kilt industry all their lives.

Each kilt is tailor-made to fit each individual. My kilts allow for movement of the buckle and strap, as with time sometimes the waistline may grow or shrink. With young men, we put extra pleats under the apron of the kilt, which gives about 3~4" of room for growth. This can be done to request, no matter the age.

Good quality leather straps are used, and a good quality canvas is used for the support of the kilt - with a cotton lining for the inside.
